Book bindings can be art

I’ve never liked to cover my books. I just want to read them. But if I had a book binding like this one created by Jan Bohuslav Sobota, I might change my mind. This book binding looks like a work of art to me. It’s both beautiful and inspiring, with trees and sky, and it looks like it has texture and layers.

If you’d like to look at more of Jan Bohuslav Sobota’s work, or other bindings by her equally creative family, check out their site.
