An anthology one of my YA stories is in may be nominated for an award
I just found out that Fried! Fast Food, Slow Deaths–a YA horror anthology that one of my stories is in–has been recommended for next year’s Bram Stoker Award (it’s received 3 recommendations so far, though it needs 5 to get in). You have to be a voting member of the Horror World Association to make the recommendations.
Wow! Can I say wow? That’s exciting!
My story, Comfort Food, that appears in the anthology is a gritty YA story that stems from abuse, but it fits as horror–I guess it’s horror for the rest of the world. I’m proud of it–and I’m so glad to be published.
Fried! Fast Food, Slow Deaths is available at all major online book stores, including Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Barnes & Noble, and Borders. (ISBN-10: 0980133807, ISBN-13: 978-0980133806)
Whoo hoo!

I just found out it’s also been nominated for a Preditors and Editors award for best anthology of the year. Currently it’s sitting at number 5 out of more than 50 books. Anyone can vote at the following link:
