Some great posts–memories of the Central Children’s Room, illustrations from Go To Bed Monster illustrator, and discussing favorite L M Montgomery books
There’s all sorts of great posts happening in the kidlit world.
If you like beautiful illustrations, if you’ve read and loved Go To Bed, Monster! (one of my favorite picture books, which is written by Natasha Wing and illustrated by Sylvie Kantorovitz), then you’ll want to check out 7-Imp, where they feature some of Sylvie’s artwork, and link to her site. The illustrations make me feel so good to look at! (You can see my review of Go To Bed Monster here.)
Betsy over at Fuse #8 is doing a wonderful series on memories of the Central Children’s Room at the New York Public Library. Head on over there to read some warming stories of why people love the library, or to share your own memories or comments.
Then, if you like Anne of Green Gables or any of L.M. Montgomery’s work, you might want to check out Wizards Wireless post Kindred Spirits (I always loved that phrase from Anne of Green Gables), where you can also vote in her poll about your favorite LM Montgomery books.
There are many more great posts; I just haven’t caught up with them all yet.

Hello Cheryl,
Thank you for a great review and a deep understanding of what is outwardly a very simple book. Artists work on their own and the kind of feedback you gave me today feels awfully nice. Be well. Sylvie

Hi Sylvie,
I’m so glad you liked what I said in the review! I love your artwork; it is beautiful and so feel-good! And I know what you mean; writers, also, work on their own, and I think it’s so important to have real praise and support.

An unusual and beautifully illustrated children’s picture book has just been published that deals with self-esteem and being happy with who you are
in a very humorous way. For details see web site.
