Elizabeth Barrett, a 17-month-old baby, can read at a 7-year-old’s level. Her parents read to her ever since she was born, and she also learned sign language through “Signing Times” show, which her parents believe helped her learn to read.
Elizabeth seems to take great delight in reading, and in the delight and wonder of others around her. I found myself watching the video with a big smile on my face. I also really like that her parents read to her and play with her about reading, in what seems like a loving way; they weren’t pushing her to learn–just teaching a love of reading. Yeah, Nicole, she does seem really intelligent.
And, she has parents encouraging her to read. I think that also helps.

wow it was amazing that her age she can do a lot already, from reading books, writing and others, my baby is turning 16 months old, she has many things learn also but so far she cant read yet, but she can recognized all the drawings she saw and few numbers. i keep encourage her to read and read books.
