beautiful and functional book seat

I love book furniture when it looks both aesthetically pleasing and functional. This bookseat by Canadian furniture designers Fishbol looks like something I’d love to have in my place–beautiful and functional, and adding more storage space for books, something many of us want. Now if only I could find a price on their site. :) It does say that the Bookseat will be in production soon, that it will be shipped mid May 2008, and that they’re currently taking orders via email. Whoo hoo! I’ve emailed them to find out how much it costs.

Found via Neatorama.

update: I found out how much the bookseat costs. It’s definitely out of my price range. $1800. I’m assuming that’s Canadian. Ah, well. I love the lines, the curves, the wood. It’s still lovely to look at.
