YA fiction The Hunger Games is a fantastic read.

I just finished reading an ARC of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and I have to tell you–it’s an amazing read. It is so well written, so gripping and so moving, I didn’t want to stop reading. It’s one of the best reads I’ve read in a while. Almost the only thing that didn’t wow me was the ending–but that’s because I don’t like being left hanging.

I’m supposed to wait until at most a month before the book’s release date before I post a review, so you won’t see a review of the book here until some time in September (the book will be released October 1st) but let me tell you, this is one book to look forward to.

I’ve been having some reader doldrums–picking up books that looked really interesting to me, and then finding the writing dropping me out of the story or just not grabbing me for one reason or the other. So it’s such a delight to find a book again that I didn’t want to stop reading.

If you like a great read, you’ll want to pick up this book. Look for The Hunger Games on October 1, 2008.
