Books make me feel alive – book poem for Poetry Friday

Photo: by Cheryl Rainfield

It’s pure joy when a book
pulls
me into its world
and doesn’t let go.

The exhilaration, the highs and lows,
the caring so intensely about the characters–
it all makes me feel alive
and full of life.*
