Skellig to become a movie

David Almond’s YA fantasy Skellig is being produced as a movie, with a release some time after its initial Sky 1 spring 2009 release date. Tim Roth (The Incredible Hulk, Planet of the Apes), Kelly MacDonald (No Country For Old Men), John Simm (Doctor Who), and young actor Bill Milner (Son of Rambow) all star in the movie.

Thanks to Cynopsis Kids for the info.

i personally think that skellig should become a movie and i would recommend people to see it. it is the best book that has interested me so much. i wouldn’t mind doing a english porjec ton it for 11 weeks. and a essay. i find this book really interesting but a couple of words that i don’t understand. this book sounded realistic and appropiate for all ages to read. it doesn’t bore me to death like other dumb maniacs would think. how iddiotic would they be if they thought that…… but overall i really loved this book to bis it was a really juicy story to read for all ages. i would recommend this boook to all ages again.

    luv from meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee………………

I’m a little late in finding this page, but I’ve only just heard that one of my favorite books will be turned into a movie starring the wonderful Tim Roth. I’m 20 and still adore David Almond’s storytelling. His imagery is vivid and compelling, and I can’t wait to see how the big screen treats it.

I would like to know the release date for this movie. Is it known? I would like to see how the movie compares to the book.
