Dual-display ebook reader

It’s still very early days–this reader is just a prototype–but researchers at Maryland and Berkeley Universities have created an ebook reader with dual displays that has some of the things readers love about paper books.

With this reader, you can flip through pages, open and close the two displays to simulate turning pages, and compare different documents by separating the two displays.

People who tested the prototype had positive reactions, though they wanted the prototype to be lighter–which may come.

What do you think? Does it appeal to you?
