Writers – a chance to win a manuscript evaluation

Are you a writer, or is someone you care about a writer? Then you might be interested in winning a free manuscript evaluation, a partial manuscript evaluation, or a query letter evaluation by an editor–AND do something positive at the same time. Editor Moonrat from Editorial Ass is raffling off tickets for those prizes, and the money goes to help her friend who was just diagnosed with Stage IV lymphoma and doesn’t have insurance. (The whole idea that you have to have insurance to get something as necessary as medical help boggles my mind and makes me angry. I’m so grateful that Canada has a health-care system….)

Tickets for the raffle range from $20 (for a full manuscript evaluation) to $5 for a query letter critique. You couldn’t buy a critique for those prices, not even double or triple. In my opinion, it’s well worth it to enter–AND you’ll be helping someone out. If you win, you can also give your prize to anyone (a writer you care about–that would make an amazing holiday gift) and there’s no expiration date, up til about 2020.
