Help donate 8000 books to children with a click of your mouse

With just a click of your mouse you can help two teenagers buy 8000 books for underprivileged children, and help promote literacy. My Own Book is a nationwide (US) non-profit organization that gives away new books to underprivliged K-3 children and promotes literacy. My Own Book was started by teenagers Kyle and Brady Baldwin–wow, huh? You can read more about their organization here and through their own site here.

To help, just click this link, then check off the box for “My Own Book” out of the thirty listed. You have to specify your age range, but you don’t need to give any other personal details, then press submit.

It looks like 15 of the 30 organizations will receive funding, and right now My Own Book isn’t among the top ones. They really need your vote! So if you care about books, or reading, or literacy, please vote. You can make a real difference.
