strong girl video – Blueberry Girl by Neil Gaiman

This is a beautiful video written and spoken by Neil Gaiman, illustrated by Charles Vess. It’s like a wish for girls–that they find their own truth and strength. it’s such a positive, strong message for girls written and spoken in a lilting, fantasy-like way. Gaiman’s voice is musical, there’s soft, beautiful music beneath it, and the illustrations are enchanting and magical.

This is a video to share.

And what’s wonderful, at least to me, is that this is also a book promotion video–a fantastic one. The text and illustrations are from Neil Gaiman’s book (illustrated by Charles Vess): Blueberry Girl

Who wouldn’t want the book, after watching the uplifting video?

What do you think? Did you like the video? Do you think it will help sell the book?
