A Glossary Of Terms Inspired By The Women Of Children’s Literature
Love children’s books? Love words and phrases? Then you’ll love this article, that introduces various new terms and their meanings based on children’s books–such as “Pulling An Amelia Bedelia: The act of baking something delicious in order to makeup for a major screw-up at work.”
I loved this! It had me grinning, and wanting to make up my own. A few of my favorite children’s books are listed here.
Has it inspired you? What are some terms you’d love to see that incorporate children’s books (or the meaning) from them?
I think one of mine would be–”go up and down like Anne of Green Gables”: Going to great emotional highs and deep lows like Anne of Green Gables. Experiencing life fully.
