New independent YA publisher needs your help

Do you like independent publishers? I sure do. Do you like publishers that try to bring quality books that meet needs? I’ll bet you’re nodding again.

I just discovered editor Stacy Whitman’s new start-up publishing company, Tu Publishing, that will publish YA fantasy and sci-fi with a multicultural bent (which echoes our world). BUT the publisher needs help–they need some funders. You can pledge as little as $5, or as much as you want ($250 and up)–and with each pledge, you get something back, as well as satisfaction knowing that you’ll help get some great YA books out there. So what do you say?

Tu Publishing hopes to become open to submissions in January 2010, if their kickstarter fundraiser is successful.

Check out the video; it’s uplifting and inspiring.
