Flat Stanley Win 1 of 19 fantastic vacations contest

Do you remember reading Flat Stanley? I loved that book as a kid, and I still really enjoy it. (If you haven’t read it, pick it up!)

Well, HarperCollins has partnered with Disney to create a huge sweepstakes for Flat Stanley. Kids can enter the sweeps to win 1 of 19 vacation adventures by Disney to places all over the world, including Italy, France, England, Australia, China, and more. (Vacations kids and their parents would enjoy, I think, such as “England And France “Cities of Knights and Lights” Vacation to London and Paris for 7 Days/6 Nights” and many more.) The child winners and up to three guests each can go on the vacation they win.

Kids have to color a downloadable Flat Stanley pack, and write a 150-word or less story about him on the continent they want to go to.

The contest is open only to US residents, to kids aged 7-12. The contest closes 11/30/2009. Sounds like something to pass on to many readers!

I also love reading about various ways books are promoted, and this seems pretty neat to me. Flat Stanley gets mailed…and kids can vacation to places where he could get mailed.
