Watch TV interview with author Cheryl Rainfield

Below is my TV interview on DayTime Toronto about Scars. I was SO nervous the day before, but once I was at the TV station, everyone was friendly, kind, and encouraging, especially the host, and I was able to be present. It was a really good experience for me.I’m also grateful that a good friend went with me, and told me afterwards that I’d done well–and then got me to watch it (I was almost too scared to) and helped me see–I actually was good! That’s such a new, positive thing for me–to like something like this.

Let me know what you think.

Wonderful interview!! I say this a lot, but I’m looking forward to picking up a copy of this book to read soon – as soon as my book buying ban ends :)

  2. Cheryl Rainfield Says:

Thank you so much, Amy. (beaming) I’m glad you liked the interview–and so glad you’ll read Scars. :)

  3. The Ms. S Says:

Awww…you did so well! Be very proud!

  4. Cheryl Rainfield Says:

Thank you, Ms S (hugging you)

I think it can be seen that the woman interviewing you, at times, just doesn’t know where to go from your answers, because they’re so deep. But it makes it so real, you’re so confident, you’ve lived through your abuse and moved on, and it’s great to see that! :)
I can relate to the fantasy genre part. I read a lot of fantasy books, and I guess that helps with moving on; going to another world. But we always have to come crashing back down to reality.
I can’t wait to read Scars (and Wintergirls) I thank you beforehand for these amazing books!
I’m sure I’ll be emailing you soon after I’ve read them anyway, hehe.

  6. SB Says:

I’m sorry!!! Ignore the Wintergirls part, I’ve just been reading up on your book and the other one, my memory just completely mucked up at the end of the comment.
    So SORRY!!!
