As a fellow survivor, I believe, hear, and stand with Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

As a fellow survivor, I believe, hear, and stand with Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. I applaud her courage and strength in speaking out in a society that consistently blames, does not believe, and fails to support survivors and women. In a society that values men and their power over the lives, safety, and mental health of women and other survivors.

All of the attacks on Dr. Christine Blasey Ford are yet another example of our #rapeculture where men, and even some women, believe that it is okay to verbally attack, threaten, and attempt to discredit a brave woman speaking her truth. This lack of compassion, empathy, and humanity needs to stop. #BelieveSurvivors

I am here because I believe it is my civic duty to tell you what happened to me while Brett Kavanaugh and I were in high school.” ◾️ Christine Blasey Ford gives her testimony regarding her allegation that the Supreme Court nominee sexually assaulted her when they were in high school. Like Anita Hill before her, Blasey chose to wear a blue suit to the hearing today. (📷: Getty)

About Cheryl Rainfield

I write the books I needed and couldn't find as a teen. I write teen fiction--paranormal fantasy and gritty realistic fiction. I'm the author of SCARS (WestSide Books, 2010) #1 ALA QuickPicks, and Governor General Literary Award Finalist, HUNTED (WestSide Books, Oct 2011), STAINED (Harcourt, 2013), The Last Dragon (HIP Books, Sept 2009), and Walking Both Sides (HIP Books, 2011). I also enjoy drawing, surfing the web, connecting with people I like, doing crafts, and being with my dog.
